1. stop testing spark at the coil with alligator clips…. swap coils 1 and 3 and clear codes and run it. if misfire follows to 3 then you have a bad coil. If not you have a bad plug… you can also look at live data on your scan tool and see present misfire counts on whatever cylinder. doing too much. also try to avoid swapping from coils next to each other. Leaking head gaskets can cause misfires as well so try to isolate the issue as far apart as possible.

5. I specialize in hybrid cars see if you can figure out this one. Note you probably won’t be able to google this one. 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Symptom- everything is ok until you drive over 70 mph then car starts acting up. Throws hybrid code and goes into some kind of limp mode. So you limp back to your home shop or whatever. Turn car off, turn it back on and everything is normal again of course until you go over 70 mph again then it acts up again. I will answer the question later on and post the solution to the problem. Note: I don’t post video online about hybrid and I do not post things like this on comment but we get very few cars with this same problem that I don’t mind sharing it
